This Privacy Policy explains how Coffee App (“we,” “us,” or “our”)—a digital loyalty‑card app for cafés—collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you download or use our mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

Personal Information. When you register or participate in our loyalty programme, we collect:

  • Your name, email address and phone number

  • Your café preferences (e.g. favourite outlets)

  • Purchase history and rewards‑status data

We use this information to:

  • Issue and manage digital loyalty cards, points and rewards

  • Process transactions, offers and redemptions

  • Provide customer support and account management

  • Personalise offers, promotions and in‑App experiences

  • Detect, prevent and address technical issues

Log Data

When you access the App, we automatically collect diagnostic and usage data such as your device’s unique identifier, device type, operating system version and App crash reports (“Log Data”). We use Log Data to maintain and improve App performance.

Location Data Collection and use Location Information

Our app collects location data to provide certain features, including connecting to nearby Bluetooth devices (such as receipt printers) and personalizing your experience based on nearby cafes or offers. This data is used solely for the purpose of enabling these features and improving your app experience.

 

We collect location data only when the app is in use, and we may also collect background location data if the app is running in the background and scanning for Bluetooth devices or nearby cafes.

 

How We Use Location Data: To enable Bluetooth scanning and connection to Bluetooth devices (e.g., printers). To personalize offers and experiences based on your location. For location-based notifications (e.g., when you're near participating cafes). We do not share your location data with third parties unless required by law or for the purposes outlined in this policy.

 

User Control: You have control over the location data collection. You can disable location services or Bluetooth scanning at any time by adjusting the permissions in your device’s settings. Please note that disabling location services or Bluetooth may affect the functionality of certain features of the app.

Service Providers

We may share your Personal Information with trusted third‑party service providers who perform services on our behalf—such as payment processors, analytics platforms and email‑marketing vendors. These parties may only access the information necessary to perform their functions and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

Child Safety Standards Compliance

  1. Public CSAE Policy
    We publish on our website a clear statement that we prohibit any child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content or behaviour. CSAE means sexual activity involving a minor or content that depicts a minor in sexual activities, including grooming, sextortion or trafficking .

  2. Definition of CSAM & Prompt Action
    Child sexual abuse material (“CSAM”) is any visual depiction of a minor in sexually explicit conduct. Upon obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM in our App, we will promptly:

    • Remove the content

    • Disable the offending account

    • Notify the relevant authorities, if required by law .

  3. In‑App ReportingOur App does not include any user‑generated content features where CSAM could be uploaded or shared. Nevertheless, if you ever encounter suspicious links, references or behaviour relating to child sexual abuse or exploitation, you can report it directly within the App. All such reports are promptly reviewed by our dedicated child‑safety team and escalated as required.

  4. Designated Child Safety Officer

  5. Ongoing Legal Compliance
    We adhere to all applicable child‑protection laws and Google Play requirements in every territory where the App is available.

Security

We implement industry‑standard technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we will post the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date. Please review this page regularly.
